An essential aspect of light therapy is that different colors trigger different reactions below the epidermis and penetrate the skin at different depths.
Red has a wavelength between 600nm-700nm, Infrared light is between 700nm-850nm. It is mainly used for its anti aging benefits thanks to its ability to stimulate the production of elastin and collagen.

Blue light has a wavelength between 400nm-500nm. It is used to kill the bacteria that cause acne, providing effective treatment for comedones and pimples. A lot of research has demonstrated the ability of blue light to reduce acne.
It is a considerable asset since it is effective and very soft on the skin.
Green has a wavelength of 460nm-530nm. It has proven its ability to reduce melasma and other skin discoloration.
Green light penetrates the skin’s sublayers by targeting melanocytes to reduce melanin stimulation which causes dark spots on the skin. With less melanin reaching the skin surface, hyperpigmentation or discolorations gradually disappear.
Yellow light has a wavelength of 560nm-590nm. It has characteristics quite close to red light for the skin. More specifically, it is effective in treating redness from sun exposure and it stimulates blood circulation.
Purple light has a wavelength of 390nm-500nm. It combines the red and blue lights. It eliminates acne-causing bacteria while reducing facial inflammation and reducing the appearance of acne-related scars. It is therefore highly recommended for people with acne and redness.
Cyan light has a wavelength of 430nm-500nm. It is the combination of blue and green lights. It removes acne and pigment stains simultaneously
